Delhi > Trivandrum
Air India flight from Delhi to Kochi. Two ways to reach Trivandrum.
- Hire a taxi from Airport – approx. 3500-4500/- indica or indigo.
- For cheaper option read following. Even foreigners taking this method. Prefer this, if u want to enjoy the scenic beauty and the culture and local food. More interesting and exotic.
Took a public (AC) bus (low floor) from airport ( route – Airport to Fort Kochi) 45min drive. Approx. ticket Rs. 60/-. Got down at Vyttila Hub ( Kochi ISBT) or KSRTC bus stand. Every 10-15 min bus service to trivandrum. Approx Rs.140 per person. Distance: kochi – Trivandrum(260 km) Journey time: min 5 hrs. Don’t even think of an AC bus because it isn’t there. Very tiring journey. Do carry lots of water and eatables.
Got down at Trivandrum bus stand (the last one). Took an auto - 3 persons/ Rs. 300/-(including luggage) Distance: 13-14 km. Auto-rickshaw drivers do work as a tout for other resorts and site-seeing.
Mumbai > Trivandrum
Air India flight from Mumbai to Trivandrum. Airport to Kovalam via shared taxi Rs300. Later got to know auto-rickshaw charges Rs.100 for the same place which is 10-12kms far. I stayed at Country Club.
